Guidance and Support
School officials, EF representatives and your host family can help you decide which classes to take. They can also advise you when choosing clubs and after-school activities. Officials at each school determine which classes and activities that are offered for exchange students, and they can help make your exchange year as rewarding as possible.
Academic Credits
It is not possible to cross credit any study from your exchange year to NCEA, however many schools are willing to work with students in order to allow them to fit an exchange experience in with their schooling in New Zealand. Have a talk with your Careers Counselor to discuss the best option for you.
All students who complete the EF High School Year Overseas are issued with a Certificate Completion, and this, along with the grades you receive whilst on exchange can go towards discretionary entrance into University.
