Our families come from a variety of different locations and backgrounds. Like our students, each family is different and always rigorously screened. Your French host family will be eager to welcome you into their home.
Be part of the family
When you live with a French host family, you will become part of the family for a year. This is the best way to learn French and many exchange students develop life-long friendships with their host families. During your student exchange in France, you may get the chance to participate in family celebrations and festivities. You should also make sure you help out with household chores as a true family member.
The French cuisine
France is known throughout the world for its cuisine and wine and your high school year in France will surely include many delicious meals. Whenever possible meals are long and sociable family occasions sometimes span several hours in the middle of the day. French meals usually involve three or four courses including cheese before the dessert and are accompanied by wine and freshly baked breads.
