Your American Host Family

Your host family will greet you at the airport with big smiles and hugs. All our families are thoroughly screened and whether they live in Texas, Pennsylvania or Oregon, they will eagerly show you their slice of the country.

Your home away from home

You will be treated like a family member of your American host family. This means celebrating birthday dinners with them, dressing up in costumes for Halloween and eating turkey on Thanksgiving. It also means you should help with household activities, such as setting the table or taking the dog for a walk. In doing so, you will experience everyday American life and bond with your host family.

Geographic diversity

Our families come from a variety of backgrounds and places. Some live in small communities and others near bigger cities, but all of them want to share their culture with you. Soon America will feel like your second home. Eventually, you might start taking on the American accent too!

A supportive family environment

Your American host family will be there for you the whole time, offering care and support. Studying in the US can be challenging, particularly in the first few weeks as adapt to new surroundings, and a caring family environment will help you adjust and feel at home. Ultimately this experience will lead to independence, self-confidence and growth.
